1. Welcome to new member Thea.

2. Donna spoke a little about childminders being accredited. There is little enthusiasm regarding this from Matlock as they report there is a huge surplus of Nursey Education places across Derbyshire and it is therefore unlikely that any new requests for membership to the network to further increase this stock of Nursery Education will be considered. Donna is to follow this up.

3. Children can have funded places from: -

1st Jan - 31st March - Easter Intake

1st April - 31st August - September Intake

1st September - 31st December - January Intake

4. Donna spoke about advertising. We are considering having a leaflet distributed within the Eaton Extra (£30 for 1,000 leaflets) prior to September as it was felt more people would have vacancies by then.

5. Quackers at Cotmanhay has featured in Eaton Extra. They allow visits from children to discover information about chickens, ducks and eggs. They would be pleased if we arranged a visit in the Easter holidays.

The group spoke of the possibility of raising money for Quackers , ideas to be finalised by the March meeting.

6. Cleethorpe in the summer holidays. Enthusiasm for another trip was shown. Donna to investigate, Wednesday 12th August discussed, Donna to advise.

7. Two grants available for sports and arts. £100.00 to £500.00 from the council. Marie kindly offered to help with paperwork but more helpers required please. You will be needed to help fill in rather laborious forms as Donna is restricted on time. Donna would like to use the grants to provide activity days in the summer holidays.

8. New committee members will be selected next month. It is appreciated that everyone is busy with extra paperwork etc, but we really do need more people to participate. You can even "job share" a position with a friend. If you cannot make the next meeting but would like to help please contact Donna.

9. Important Notice, as the end of the Financial Year approaches can all members ensure that their subs are up to date.
